​Goaded by his playboy friend Eisenstein with the motto of “Start another relationship to solve another relationship problem”, the love-forlorn Danilo goes to a party to meet new potentials, only to find out that the party host is his ex-girlfriend Hanna. Though devastated, he is compelled to stay to stop unwanted advances of the affluent Alfred towards his sister Adele. Meanwhile to his utter dismay, the fact that Hanna is his best friend’s ex does not deter the lecherous Eisenstein from his seduction scheme. Is this a “merry” party, or a “maddening” party? Will all start wrong end well?
